There will be a football meeting this Friday after school at 3:30 pm for any current 8th grade student and freshman through junior students that are interested in playing football in the fall 2022 season at Carlyle High School. Head Coach Wolf will be in the Carlyle HS cafeteria this Friday at 3:30 pm to meet with those interested student-athletes.

Five seniors visit the National Farm Machinery Show with Mr. Jacobs. Stanley Adams, Mason Danback, Chase Dascotte, Lukas Ellis, and Chase Sorenson also visited the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory while in Louisville, Kentucky.

Carlyle High School spring sports information for student athletes. Athletes must have a current IHSA physical on file in the high school office. Athletes need to register on the 8to18 website for the sport he/she is playing. Baseball practice will begin on Monday, February 28th right after school in the gym. Softball practice will begin on Tuesday, March 1st right after school in the gym. Track will have a meeting on Monday, February 28th at 6:30 pm in the CHS cafeteria. The first Track practice will be Tuesday, March 1st after school.

The regional championship game will be played at Patoka tonight. 3-point shooting competition at 5:30 pm and game at 7:00 pm. Please take your time entering from the parking lot as it is still a little slick.

Carlyle Indians Track & Field will be having an informational meeting for any 5th-12th grade students interested in joining the High School or Jr. High Track & Field teams on Monday February 28th at 6:30 PM in the CHS cafeteria. The first practice will be held Tuesday March 1st after school.

Regional championship tickets for the Patoka regional will be on sale in the high school office from 9 am - 1 pm on Thursday February 24th and from 8 am to 2 pm on Friday February 25th. We were given 280 tickets; all tickets are general admission and the cost of each ticket is $5.00. Carlyle will play Effingham St. Anthony on Friday, February 25th at 7 pm.

Due to potential weather overnight and the forecast of icing during school hours tomorrow, Thurs. Feb. 24th will be an E-Learning Day. Students at the Grade School were sent home with work today, Jr. High and High School students should check their Google Classrooms for their assignments. Teacher will be available from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. for questions and additional support.

2022 1A Girls Basketball Sectional Information Bunker Hill High School Tuesday February 22nd, 2022 Game 1 at 6:00: Jacksonville Routt (Home Team/White Uniform) vs Carlyle (Away Team/Dark Uniform) Game 2 at 7:30: Okawville (Home Team/White Uniform) vs Calhoun (Away Team/Dark Uniform) Thursday February 24th, 2022 3 Point Shootout at 5:30: Sectional Championship at 7:00: Winner Game 1 vs Winner Game 2 We will be playing the games at Bunker Hill High School. The school is located at 314 South Meissner, Bunker Hill, IL 62014. Admission: $7.00 for all spectators. Per IHSA Board Policy 22, IHSA is exclusively using GOFAN for ticketing at the Sectional level and beyond. Please let your fans know that Verizon reception is very poor in Bunker Hill. I recommend having them download their tickets before they get into town. It will be General Admission with doors opening 60 minutes before the game that the fan has purchased a ticket for. At the end of the first game, we will make the announcement for all fans who only have a ticket for game 1 to please leave the gym. The doors in the front of the school (east side) and the doors on the north side of the school will be open for admission. The gym doors will not be used. Masks: Bunker Hill School District is currently operating as, “masks strongly recommended.” We will have masks available for anyone that would like them, but we will not require them. Fans: While we will not use assigned seating, the north side bleachers will be designated for the away team , and the south side bleachers will be designated for the home team. Programs: Programs done by Royal Publishing will be available for purchase for $2.
