With the projected forecast this upcoming week on Tuesday and Wednesday, we have moved our Cahokia Conference varsity baseball and softball games versus Wesclin up one day to Monday, April 4th. The JV baseball and softball games scheduled for Monday, April 4th @ Odin have been cancelled.
The Varsity baseball and varsity softball games scheduled for today Carlyle at Sparta have been cancelled due to wet field conditions. The games have been rescheduled for Thursday, April 7th at Sparta at 4:30 pm (bus 2:30 pm). In addition, the JV baseball and JV softball games scheduled for Thursday, April 7th Salem at Carlyle have been cancelled.

Winter Sports Athletic Recognition Night
On Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 7:30 PM we will host the winter sports athletic recognition night for all 2021-2022 winter athletes at Carlyle High School. We will all meet together at 7:30 PM in the CHS Cafeteria to present special awards. After all special awards are presented, we will break up into groups so each coach can talk in depth about his/her respective season and pass out letters and certificates. All winter athletes and his/her parents are invited and encouraged to attend. Refreshments (bottled water and cookies) will be available.
The varsity softball and baseball games scheduled for today (Carlyle @ Nashville) have been canceled due to wet field conditions. Baseball will practice inside today until 4:30 pm. Softball will practice inside from 4:30-5:15 pm.
FFA Members Madison Nattier and Kylee Wesselmann work the FFA table during the 8th Grade Preview Night at Carlyle High School on March 24. Mayce Diekemper, Michael Brinkman, and Hunter Rich were also in attendance to answer questions during the evening.
Hayden Hoffmann earns second place in the Illinois Association FFA State Proficiency Contest for his Diversified Crop Production Entrepreneurship for his pumpkin and corn business.
FFA Members help the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers with their annual Christmas Tree Drop on March 26. Over 300 recycled trees and many artificial nests were placed in the lake to serve the local fish and wildlife.
FFA Public Speaking members Daisy Brammeier, Kaylee Rambo, Kylee Wesselmann, Savanna Broughton, Mayce Diekemper, and Samantha Heinzmann placed in Section 21 Public Speaking Leadership Development Events at Kaskaskia College last week. Heizmann advanced to the FFA Creed district contest and Broughton advanced to the Varsity Prepared district contest.
The varsity and jv baseball games on Saturday 3/26 Carlyle at Trico will start at 11:00 am. The bus time will be 8:45 am.
The varsity baseball game scheduled for today at New Athens has been moved to Carlyle HS. New Athens will travel to Carlyle for a varsity baseball game at 4:30 pm.

Students in Life Skills class are hard at work volunteering at the Carlyle Christian Church Outreach Center. The students will be volunteering their time twice a week throughout the school year to help sort and organize donations.
This message is being sent on behalf of the Carlyle High School Parent Boosters. It is that time of year again to start thinking about Post Prom. Post Prom will be held at the Carlyle Junior High School on the weekend of April 30th and May 1st from 11:00pm until around 5:00am. Ticket sales for Post Prom will begin on Monday, April 11th and end on Wednesday, April 13th. These are the ONLY 3 days that tickets will be sold. Ticket cost for Post prom is $5 per person. All juniors and seniors are welcome to attend, even if they don't attend the actual prom earlier in the evening. We are still in need of parents to volunteer to help make this a success. Students will be coming home with a parent letter, early next week, with information about how to volunteer or donate to this event. Attached to this letter will be the permission slip. The post prom permission slip is a separate form from the prom dance permission slip. Each event will have a separate form. Guests will also need a permission slip to attend. No student will be admitted to the post prom without a permission slip! These slips are due by April 22nd and can be turned in at ticket sales or to the CHS office. Parents, please read the rules on the permission slip carefully. Thank you and have a wonderful evening!

Carlyle FFA donated $350 to Carlyle in Bloom. The chapter donated from the proceeds from the FFA Week Kiss a Pig and gift card basket donations. Thank you Carlyle in Bloom volunteers for the beautiful arrangements around town and flower pots that beautify our FFA Plot on Rt 127! #carlyleinbloom
