Our science students have been busy!! 🧬Biology 2 students were learning how sickle cell disease can be diagnosed using gel electrophoresis. They practiced the skill of loading a gel and identify genotypes of different individuals. 👁️ Anatomy and physiology are learning about the structure and function of the human eye by dissecting a cow eye. 🌊Biology 1 students were trying to find out what happens to calcifiers, like sea urchins, in an acidifying ocean by putting eggs in vinegar. They used a color dye to model a potential toxin in the water. Great work, scientists! 🔍🧪
